How to Increase Traffic to My Cam Modeling Website
Back in the day it was enough to just build a website, submit it to the search engines and it would get some traffic. Five to ten years, and millions of websites later and now there’s a bit more to it than that. ![]()
To get your sexy solo model site to rank well you need to try and get inbound links that contain the words you want to rank for as the anchor text (the text used to link to your site with).
You see, once upon a time search engines trusted what webmasters put in their meta keyword tags. However, spammers started stuffing keyword tags full of irrelevant information. Search engines eventually stopped trusting the keywords meta tag because it provided a lot of noise and little signal.
As search engines depreciated the importance of the keywords meta tag, they started trusting page copy more, but then spammers abused this also and started aggressively stuffing keywords there too. Search engines still heavily rely on page copy, especially for long-tail keywords, but there is another signal of quality that they feel is more relevant for competitive search queries now days.
When people link to you, the anchor text that they use helps your site rank well for the keywords that are in the anchor text. If you or I link to http://webcammodelingtalk.com/forum with the anchor text “Webcam Modeling Jobs” (like I just did) then search engines believe that http://webcammodelingtalk.com/forum has a good chance of containing information about Webcam Modeling Jobs.
And since influencing others is harder than simply writing copy, search engineers feel comfortable trusting anchor text more than page copy.
Now get to work and get those sites ranking and bringing you some traffic.
Remember: Traffic = $$$

I have a webcam site but I am having trouble recruiting models. I changed my site to one of dating but no-one signed up. It is now, once again, an adult webcam site with shared models who don’t perform. I had to pay up front for the models but I only see one performing and she does so at the same time each day. I can’t win, if I have no models performing I have no traffic and what’s the point driving traffic to a website where the girls don’t perform.
The software was very expensive and I don’t want to give up now but I am now losing faith and my motivation is at an all time low. Can anyone please help as I am willing to pay 50% for each performance and 40% from performances recorded, if the model wants to record her session for the client.
Doug,
Thanks for your comment. I hope you don’t take this the wrong way but I would say it sounds like you’ve bitten off more than you can (currently) chew. You have to work on your psychology (need to understand what motivates people) and sales skills, plus you need to know how to drive traffic on top of all that in order to be successful at what you’re trying to do there. My advice: cut your losses and try a simpler business model (but keep learning about the things I mentioned above and maybe you can come back to this business model later). Because of the steep learning curve you need to ascend in order to make your business model work, I don’t foresee you making a substantial income at this for some time (at the very least a few months depending on how much time you have available to devote to studying). So take into account your time frame for needing to earn income and strategize accordingly.
Good luck! Let us know how everything turns out…

Congrats I really liked this place, I’ll come back and invite friends.
Another great post and a very honest reply!
@Doug: driving traffic takes time. Most online busineses fail because they either don’t have a good plan, or they give up too early. An easy mistake to make is to think that making money online is easy.
What’s mentioned in this post is very true about the meta tag words (notice how I typed in my name with the keywords ‘top adult affiliate programs’? This improves my site in the search engines rankings.)
@WebcamModelingTalk: Thanks for the informative posts, as well as being generous enough to allow dofollow links
